Black and White Monday #3

I had been doing my best to try and post a picture everyday.  I promised myself I would keep it simple. Well sometimes life just gets in the way.  And as much as I try I found myself getting behind in my posts.  It's a lot harder than one thinks to come up with a post everyday.
Well here is my black and white photo for this week. I took this out at Oxley Nature Center using the hipstamatic camera.

Black and White Monday #2

Running late on my post. Last week on my trip to Oxley Nature Center I did manage to get a few decent Black & White shots. I do prefer my shots when out hiking to be in color. These kinda give that creepy feel to them. When I'm out hiking I'm very alert to the sounds around me. Anyone watching me would probably laugh at how jumpy I am when hiking.
Today's photo was taken with Hipstamatic using the chunky lens and black key B&W Film.

Black and White Monday #1

I am always checking out apps that are similar in nature to Instagram. I posted a few weeks ago that I was really enjoying using an app called Hipstamatic.  oogl is part of Hipstamatic.  Similar in nature to Instagram but for people who are a bit more serious about taking photographs.
The following photo was taken with oogl.

A quick visit to the Park

Today I stopped at Leake Park here in Tulsa.  I haven't been here in years.  I didn't stay long.  It's so warm today it made for a slightly uncomfortable time trying to take photographs.  One thing about this park I always enjoyed was the pond.  What I found though was a pond with stagnant water.  So there didn't seem to be any ducks around so I just grabbed one picture and called it quits.
Today's picture is taken with Hipstamatic using the following settings: Tinto 1884/D-Type Plate Film.

A Shutter bug

I've been called many things in my life.  Most recently a certain person at work has gotten to where she calls me a Shutter Bug. I believe she means it as a dig towards me but honestly the name is fitting. My favorite things in the world to do is take pictures and read books.
Sometimes at work when we are not busy I can get one of my coworker to let me take photographs of them. This is really my first attempt at taking a photograph of someone using Hipstamatic.
